We Indians are most ‘content’ lot. Me, myself, my family, my kids, my friends. Thats’ all. We are able to find ‘chinks’ in every success. When we win medals we put brakes in our celebration and say only this much in 100 crore. When the PM gets operated in AIIMS we ridicule that AIIMS physicians that most of the team were from outside. Now success of Slumdog Millionaire. It is being said that Slumdog portrays Indian poverty. So whats’ the issue? many indian films depict the harsher world of Indian Underdogs – the underworld (Company, Parinda etc), the impoverished (satyajeet rays’ classics to name just), the crooked world(virtually in all masala films). Cinema is not only means of escapism. It has to be blended with reality. Then only will it connect with the audience. Slumdog weaves a web of strong story around its main protangonists. The screenplay seems tout. Its also a musical experience. We should be praising the efforts that have been put to create this cinematic experience. Instead of criticising the show, we should be proud of it. The problem here is that its an Hollywood movie with hollywood director. But we have also heard of ‘global village’…so the problem is solved.so n’joy….life is worth enjoying

wow...and awe....
wow...and jai ho....
